Step 1: Deep Research
Before a single word is written, Soumya spends hours researching the product category. She does not skim Amazon reviews and call it research. She builds a dossier.
For Outfits
Fabric composition, weave structure, artisan lineage, climate suitability, and price-per-wear analysis across at least six competing brands.
For Beauty
INCI lists, pH stability, active ingredient concentration studies, dermatological reviews, and cross-referencing with peer-reviewed cosmetic chemistry journals.

Material sourcing, craftsmanship standards, durability data, tarnish resistance, and ethical manufacturing verification.
For Health

We use a five-parameter scoring system for every review. No star ratings pulled from thin air. No paid placements disguised as Editor's Picks. Every score is earned.
Quality
Material integrity, construction precision, ingredient purity, and craftsmanship standards. Does it feel expensive? Does it hold its shape?
Value
Price-per-wear, price-per-use, price-per-ml, and budget comparison against three direct alternatives. Is it worth your rupee?
Fit for Indian Conditions
Climate resilience, skin compatibility, occasion versatility, and cultural appropriateness. Will it survive your real life?
Longevity
Durability over time, resistance to fading, stretching, pilling, or formula degradation. Will it last beyond the first wash?
Overall Verdict
The final score — would we recommend this to our own Patakha? Would we buy it again? Would we gift it to our mother? This is not an average. It is a considered judgment. A product can score high on Quality but low on Value — and we will tell you exactly that.
Each parameter is scored 1–5. The Overall Verdict is weighted by context: a budget product that scores 3 on Quality but 5 on Value may earn a higher Overall Verdict than a luxury product that scores 5 on Quality but 2 on Value. We judge for the Indian woman, not the algorithm.
Step 5: Continuous Refresh
Products change. Prices change. Formulas get reformulated. Companies get acquired. What was excellent in January may be mediocre by June. We refuse to let outdated recommendations waste your money.
We review our top-performing posts quarterly and update:
